The decision to standardize uniforms actually results in a net reduction of costs to the participant, particularly if the participant plays more than one season. Players can simply use a uniform from the previous season instead of automatically paying for a new uniform every season as part of registration costs.
The baseball program had a significant increase in costs to the program, particularly field rental and field maintenance fees. However, even with this increase in program costs, we actually REDUCED registration fees. This reduction was specifically intended to offset costs for parents to purchase uniforms.
This is an accepted requirement for several other programs including basketball, soccer, and field hockey. We believe that you will find that the uniforms are of excellent quality and will save you money because the same uniform can be used season after season.
