Registration
Registration is open for boys and girls ages pre-K thru 6 who reside in the Worthington School District. All Children who will turn 5 before July 31st. are invited to join this fun league! (We will accept children younger than 5, dependent upon their ability.)
Teams
Teams will be formed immediately after the registration deadline. We try to form teams based on Elementary School attended. We do make every attempt to honor any special requests.
Practices and Games
Practices will start during mid May and are typically 1-2 nights per week. Games will start the end of May and run thru June/mid-July. Teams will typically play 2 games per week.
Practice/Game days and times rotate in order to accommodate schedules. This also allows the kids to participate in other activities with static schedules (i.e. swim team/lessons, soccer). Practices/Games are typically M-Th, starting around 6p (potentially as early as 5:30p) and last for around an hour. In order to accommodate a larger number of teams, we may conduct some games on Saturday mornings as well.
The schedule will not be finalized until registration has closed, and teams have been formed.
Equipment
Parents are responsible for buying baseball pants. Baseball pants are not required and many kids wear shorts, although protection for sliding would be recommended. Kids may wear tennis shoes or rubber baseball/soccer cleats.
Tee Ball uniforms are not provided by WYB. Uniforms are available for purchase at Egelhoff Sports. All Tee Ball participants should have the following uniform:
HOME Red Shirt (100% cotton)
AWAY Blue Shirt (100% cotton)
Worthington Baseball cap
The cost of numbering or naming the back of the shirt is already included in the price, however, we strongly suggest that participants wait until after teams are formed before numbering/naming their shirts to avoid duplications. This service will be provided free-of-charge.
